In September 2023, Joana founded OCDD Oniscidea Dance Company, a contemporary dance company based in Santarém, Portugal, embracing a diverse range of Japanese aesthetic and conceptual influences.
Since its foundation, the company has performed in several cities across Portugal, as well as internationally in Spain, the Netherlands and Brazil.
